16/12/08: SINGAPORE!!!

Sorry, no updates these few days. Went to singapore and has been busy ever since. Did some window shopping and pub/bar hopping.

Gosh! was I shocked by the amount of people downtown, and it looks like the amount of people shopping here is more than KL. Although the christmas lights might be the reason, but in the malls cashier counters are always occupied even late at night.

Weather seems to be nice, a bit of rain here and there to keep the temperature down. Not too much sun.

Food errr, in general doesnt seem to be as nice as Msia but the shocking part is the price. Since the last time that I was here about a year ago, the price has not change as much as Msia. I think eventually it might be even cheaper than Msia.

15) Fishhead Noodle
Fried fish with spring onions, salted vege, fish head broth & evaporated milk and lastly rice vermicelli

Although very tasty, beware most are made with a lot of msg. This made you feel very thirsty. Some of them gives chunks of fish meat wherelse some gives dried fried fish meat. I prefer the real dried ones though, they seem to taste better with the soup.

The ugliest water display fountain I have ever seen

56) Duck Wantan Mee

Specially made egg noodle (same as wantan noodle) , with dark soya sauce and pig lard oil, roasted duck meat, lamely boiled vege

First time ever I saw a meal look better than the menu picture. The duck meat was nice but the noodle sucks

56) Singaporean Wantan Mee
Specially made egg noodle, with chicken broth and pig lard oil, char siew (bbq chicken), lamely boiled vege, bowl of pepper soup with wantans inside

I shall refrain from saying that Singaporean Wantan Mee is a joke compared to Msian's. The noodle was so well made and so was the seasoning. Even though not as dark as the Msian version it sure taste good. The only are where it loses out is the bbq meat/char siew

Either the food stall operator is slow or the wantan mee is good. I think its because of both. This is the line after I finished my meal. When I was queuing up there was 4 people in front of me, now imagine how long the fei chai at the back with the grey shirt have to wait
