8/11/09: Phobia 2......... 2 freaking hours of horror torture

Went out with the badminton gang yesterday to catch Ninja but ended up watching Phobia 2. I was very reluctant to watch either one as I had prefer to watch inglorious besterds.

We tried getting tics for Ninja but it was super sold out. Even at 10pm, there's still 5 rows of people lining up to get tics for movies. we ended up getting tics for Phobia 2 instead and I was like 'WTF! is this shiet' but nevermind, just watch.

Not knowing what to expect; the last time I watched a thai horrow was like 6 years back, Shutter wasnt that bad, so maybe this wont turn out that bad after all. In the end it was a good to go movie, no regrets. This is one horrow that you can get laughter out of it and not chills while you leave the cinema.

It basically consist of 5 small stories and the last was more of a comedy. Too bad I spoiled the atmosphere for all those couples that wanna cuddle up out of fear. Why? cause I started laughing even at the first story.

A must watch for couples, and better hope you dont meet someone like me in the cinema, of you will be getting a comedy instead of a horror.

1/11/09: Top Gear Treasure Hunt 2009 & Awana Kijal Terengganu

I was invited to join Khuen Wee's law firm trip for the weekend and we left early on Saturday. The trip was a treasure hunt challenge organized by Top Gear magazine maresia. Arriving early at the venue we went for breakfast somewhere near Glenmarie. It begins with the flagging off ay one of the sponsor's car showroom. The hunt begins with the first challenge at Genting Sempah. We had to go through Bentong, Temeloh, Chukai and many other small towns to finally arrive at Kijal. I was exhausted with the hunt although it was a great eye-opener. We didnt manage to win anything towards the end but it was a great experience. Met Chia Hur there too and we had a chat and some drinks during the night. Special thanks to Khuen Wee and wife for inviting and as well as their colleagues for giving me a great time. Oh ya, not forgetting josh for his GPS ^^

After 3 efking days of trying to fix the wireless on my desktop, I am taking a break today... or more like I had given up. Read the newspaper in the morning, did some work out during noon (muscle shrank after not working out for 5 months). Suprisingly today was not all that hot. While I was working out I've decided to watch a video at the same time. Went through the vids I had in my laptop and choosed the one with the lamest title "Religuluos". After watching the movie I must admit that this is a good one, however my religious/faithful/holy/almighty/godlike friends might not enjoy it.

To all those that enjoys poking fun at religion and prefer to think in a rational logical manner, this movie is for you. Hey, you can even watch it while streaming on shietmyx. I have the .avi if u want to keep it as a collection (beware they might go on a witch hunt and burn you alive).

3/9/09: Merdeka Broga Hill Hike @ Semenyih -.-"

Went to do some early shiet hike on Monday, woke up at freaking 4 am (automatically due to the jetlag) and walked to markyman's house. Waited there for like 30 minutes because the slowmos are always slow.

We split into two cars, one driven by reupeng and the other by kock. I sat in kock's car and had a rollercoaster ride but most of the time was waiting for reupeng to catch up. The way there was fine, spent most of the time dosing off.

We park in front of the rabbit farm, and had warm up through the oil palm plantation. To our surprise the local community there had organized a hike too. Gosh it was pack and on the way up there were traffic jams everywhere. It took like 30 minutes only to reach the peak. I would recommend this place for beginners as it consist of slopes, makeshift stairs and mud treks that shouldnt be too challenging.

Eversince I had my first experience of karaoke (120usd for 2 hours @ some lousy Korean Lounge), I fell in love with it. I thought singing in the toilet was jolly and gay, but karaoke is much better ^^ Must one day try it out in maresia, heard it is cheaper and better with food and and.. maybe girls... Hehehehee *grin* For those that havent tried yet, here are some songs to practice on.... enjoice

1/9/09: Back in Maresia

It is nice to be back... Back to the warm, sometimes too warm weather of maresia. My body is exploding due to the sudden change in temperature. I feel hot like 99% of the time. Will take at least 1 month to get use to the sleeping time and the sun.

However I get to enjoy the food that I had been craving for months. Anyone wanna join me to go get food? Lost 5 pounds when I was in the states, dont wanna waste all the effort... Eat less Eat less!

So much to do and yet so little time. Slowly and hopefully things will slowly workout by itself.

6/18/09: Summer Soltice, 24 hours SUN!

Summer soltice is here! and there's nearly 24 hours of daylight now... So far I am able to sleep... Just managed to kill the flu with exercise, vitamins and lots of rest ^^ Unlike last summer where I had to suffer for 2 damn weeks..

Sorry for being away so long, lost the internet back at my house and as well as the long hours of work.

Work so far is fun, there's up and downs but.... Hopefully it goes/stay well. Would like to keep the long hours I am getting since I am no longer in Starbucks.

Done climbing flattop for the 2nd time... Wasnt too hard this time, probably because of the light. The last time was at night, and it was crazy.

Been working non stop, and yet pay so low :( Haih... hope to get some $$$ back. As for the weather, it rained today and it sucked. Hopefully the next few months wont be like that. Today is my one month anniversary here in Ancohrage ^^ Loving it so far...

Flowers are starting to bloom marking the end of winter and spring is here. Hopefully the weather wont be ruined by rain and cloud again.

Saw the results coming, UFC 98: Evans vs Machida... and Machida won by a leap. Rashad had no idea on how to take Machida on. I believe Rashad stand a chance if he wrestles Machida down to the ground and pound him but Machida is a black belt BJJ holder, so... He's so evasive, strikers hardly can touch him. His weight, build and kicks are so natural, and he hardly any problems striking.

Omfg! I couldnt believe it, I slept for 15 hours straight! From 3pm-6am...lol... Even missed Alex's softball match... Hahahhaa, couldnt wake up even with the alarm on. Must be real tired, lol. And during the afternoon Hae called, asking me to come to work. I was like ' WTF! I work 9 days straight and u want me to work on my break' Oh well, I need $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

A special post on a special day for 2 special ppl in my life. My mama n grandma.... Most of the time when I say 'mummy i love you' to my mum, my mum would say 'love your head ar, everyday scold me'. That's how we are, if we talk 1 minute nicely, we would fight 2 minutes the next time. Although she scolds me all d time I know she loves me a lot, and although I always make her angry, I love her a lot.

Most of the time we fight over petty stuff. The way she thinks is very.... outdated and conservative or what my sis calls 'kampung kok' and as for me, I am too crazy XD but no matter what... mummy is mummy ^^

I am far far away from home now, and the only way I can 'I love you' is through my blog... Hopefully my idiot sis or my dad will show her this ^^

In life there's ups and downs and that's how my life has been for the past couple of days. I wont care to elaborate more, it is too complicated. The weather is like that too, was all drizzling and cloudy but it is super sunny today... Gosh..

Here's some of the pictures of my new apartment where I am king XD Alone.. a bit lonely... but kinda nice too ^^ will try 2 bring a couple of chicks back to do business.. HEhehhheHEHee XD but partei not allowed... Zzzz

Was expecting Paris Hilton or some nikka to step out, but instead it was just an average family... LOL... what a cool blink blink hummer.. The only let down was that a trailer was at d back... LOL.. Just like a Ferarri with a cheap imitation rims..

Main room: and a second clothing/changing closet. This is so huge you can even consider it a room XD

Second room: This will most likely be the guys room, so small I cant even step back enough to take a nice angle.

Second room: and a small shelf... WTF!

And there, this apartment will be my home for the next 4 months ^^ so nice... just like a hotel suite but without the services.

Worked 14 hours since yesterday... had to cover for Holly, she called in and Theresa didnt wanna work alone... Good for me too, more $$$.. Theresa gave me and my bike home after work... Was drizzling... Damn, hopefully it will get better soon, cold + rain = not good.. Damn I hate viruses, I have now officially 3 anti-virus... lol.. will blog about it in the next post.

Tada, this is Ian, my phillipino shiftmate... and this is our hobby during our break, we take a nice 40 minutes nap. Not easy working graveyard shift you know XD Hopefully he doesnt get angry... HAhahhaa

This is my ride for now, until I get my new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Was given by Diane my landlord and all I needed to do is to drop by Walmart to buy the locks. Adjusted the seat but I guess it is still too high. My groin hurts a little, I dont wanna end up like Lan Bohsong... Huu Huu..

With 3mpbs intarnuts, I get to dl tonnes of movies all day... Here are some of the movies I had watched. First was Defiance, a movie about jewish partisans during ww-2 and how they survive the ordeal hiding in the forest. This movie explores the struggles of jews as well as the leadership of the main character played by the bond actor. 4/5

2nd movie is Underworld: Rise of the lycans... A not too bad movie that I enjoyed watching. Inspired me to an hour work out... LOL.. Was done quite well, but I think they should had chosen a better main actor, I dont think he fits this show. 4/5

Lastly but not... Tom Cruise, a great movie about a great story. Not too many stories can be made from 'fail'. His acting was excellent, the story was nicely done. 5/5

Today I woke up feeling so refreshed... 6am surfed the net till 8am and went out to jog at the park since the weather is perfect... Under the sun it was 23c, no sun it is 13c.. A bit dry, but its ok... Jog for an hour, then came back talking to Bryan... Oh yes.. before that I had a spa bath .... So nice soaking in hot water for an hour ^^ He was trying to get his router up with his wii and ps 3 connected to it. Spend like 2 hours there doing nuts.. Went out with Diane to get dishes and pillows. How nice of her, she made the house perfect, must cook something for her when the rest arrive, I guess. She even gave me a superb bicycle, I think I will take it to work once I get my locks done.

Went to wassilla with Cheng when he was to pick one of his friend up. 1 hour drive just to pick her up? ZZZZzzz... Only he so free...

Frozen lake... who says it is summer... LOL..

Bonfire in the middle of the frozen lake? those people must be crazy... according to Cheng those people are ice-fishing and to keep themselves warm they start a fire.. and the ice wont even melt.. LoL

5/1/09: FUBAR!!! Everything was farked up!

Had one of the worse week of my life, everything went wrong. First of all my laptop got hit by a virus and it keeps logging me out. Secondly I received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stating that the info I provided doesnt match those given by their system and I cant work after 8 days if I dont resolve it.... Might even get deported.. WTF! and no laptop means no intarnuts!!!

IE used to be my no1 choice, and now since it is screwed up I am starting to love FireFox XD IE keeps popping up pesky warning messages which is caused by a virus. Hopefully this doesnt affect Firefox. Took me 2 days to remove nearly all the virus, but only then I realise how smart I am.. Hehehee... Even the US Marine Hacker/IT specialist for Alyeska (Bryan) can't solve it. Probably it is because that neighbour mofo of mine is drunk 24/7. Still a cool guy to hang out with, hopefully I can get his rifle, 50" TV, truck and bicycle when he leaves to the slope. He gave me one of his rifle when we first met, but retracted later because I think he is afraid I might take and shoot people... LOL

After returning home on Thursday I called DHS and got everything settled out. It was only a computer glitch and it scared the shit out of me. DAmn Americans.. Cant even get their stuff right, no wonder there are still terrorist still around...

As of last Tuesday I had moved into my new apartment and started working... Not to say that this is bad, but everything needs settling down. I left my jacket and my sleeping bag back at Cheng's place... Damn it, no blanket to cover and had to wear ultra thick coat out, which looks super ridiculous.

Now that my laptop is somehow fixed, my apartment is ready, job is stable, DHS is happy, stealing intarnutes wireless from Bryan.. all seems good, got 2 days off... I think I will share the cost of intarnuts with him..

Was a nice and entertaining show, something like sincity. Girls are pretty, hero is macho.. jokes are ok ok. Story... somehow above average

A great movie, liked the new concept of the show. Enjoyed every single moment of it and the movies deserve the oscars it won ^^

4) Nasi Kandar
Tandorii Chicken, Papadam, Cabbage

Had this at Midvalley food court, isnt the best nasi kandar, preferred the one from Pelita, talking about this makes me miss home. Usually comes with nasi briyani instead of white rice, it is more of a indian version of chinese economy rice.

8) Hokkien Noodle
Fat yellow noodle stir fried with prawns, lard, chicken, dark soy sauce and sometimes a little vege.

Good hokkien noodles are hard to come by, havent eaten a good hokkien noodle in 5 years. Most of them are stingy and you dont get what you paid for. Hopefully when I return the next time I will be able to eat a nice one.

2) Curry Laksa
Yellow noodle cooked in thick curry soup with siham, bean curd, long beans and sometimes curry chicken.

I liked it best when eaten with wantan noodle instead. So far only in Bangsar and SS2 Wai Sek Kai has managed to satisfy my cravings.

Hand made noodles cooked in broth with bean curd, anchovies, minced meat, vegetables and sometimes pork.

Definitely one of my favourites.

Got my drugs test, security & finger printing done... Banked in my $$$... All cool.. but the blardy nikka at d At&t store was so slow I couldnt wait, now have to wait to get my phone line...

For tonight, going to party... booze, ciggies, girls and food... here I come XD Hope I dont get wasted yo! Party last night, had some booze... luckily everyone's cool and I get to go to bed in time...

Did 2 hours of driving today, guess that should be enough. My driving skills is as good as evar XD and cheng's integra still rocks!

4/22/09: IN ANCHORAGE!!!!!! FINALLY!!!

Hey all!! In anchorage now... On the way here, I was so sleepy and tired. Slept as much as I could, ended up drooling 2 times I guess. THank god thoseflights are over. Freaking 20 hours of flights.. Get some sleep, some food and hopefully more $$$ will come XD After freaking 38 hours of travel, hardly get to sleep at all... Zzzz... Will get more rest before posting more...On the way here, I was so sleepy and tired. Slept as much as I could, ended up drooling 2 times I guess. THank god those flights are over. Freaking 36 hours of flights.. Get some sleep, some food and hopefully more $$$ will come XD

8 hours wait! damn... What a boring wait! and there's no intarnuts!!! Ended up watching ufc. Looks like all flights are booktight. One of the most complicated airports, gotta take like 4 connecting trains to get to my gate. One of the lousiest airports I had visited.

Can't believe they have so many pretty girls working for customs. Although not smiling,
seeing them takes my fatigue away. From Changi to Narita was tiring, didnt really had any sleep.
Fell asleep for a while but an announcement that the plane was landing or something like that. It
was a false call. Damn..

Northwest services are so much better than United, the plane the stewardess, the food, they are all better.
I am not gonna fly United anymore unless I have to.

TOo bad I dont get to spend much time here, so many cool shops. Singapore should have more
shops featuring the local culture eg, like local food, sourvenier shops .. etc etc Well.. they are still
better than our KLIA XD

21/4/09: Changi, Singapore..

Arrived around 10.30pm.. Had some awesome Singaporean Laksa and the boy mending the stall allowed me to change the noodles to wantan mee, it was awesome!!!!!!! Too bad I didnt have any cameras with me, the soup was super rich (1 bowl everyday and I will die of heart attack in 1 month) with santan, taste is perfect, 3 prawns and bean sprouts. YUMMIE!!!

Too bad I am stuck @ Terminal 1, among all the terminals I think this is the worse, everything is old. But the best thing is, I GOT INTARNUTS!!! and will the japs have intarnuts too?
Will try to sleep for a while, afraid I might miss my flight.

They have a swimming pool in their damn ariport!!! no wonder it is the best airport in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

21/4/09: Bai Bai Maresia, KLIA

Probably the last post from Maresia for the next few months to come. Will be flying to Anchorage soon, waiting for the gate to open as I am posting.

Hopefully there's intarnuts at every airport. I was suprised KLIA actually had free wifi and it is kinda decent actually. The downside is there's hardly any power outlet, how the eff am I gonna recharge my lappie?

KLIA is still under utilized, most of the shops are closed. The staff are still below par as compared to other airports.

Will post more once I reach Changi, hopefully they have intarnuts as well. Flying Silk Air, hopefully they have food, I am starving!!! :(

What happened? No more classic boring Chelsea-Liverpool matches anymore? These arent like EPL teams, they look more like La Liga!

First goal from Liverpool was not a suprised, Liverpool have been scorings goals like that lately. Second goal was a mistake from Ivanovic and there's no complain, good play from Liverpool's side. Third and forth goal from Liverpool nearly gave me a heart attack. Two goals were given away because of the lack of concentration, Liverpool pump up the pace but Chelsea with their experience should had done better by slowing the game down and concentrate. Liverpool has changed this year, they are no more the sluggish kind of English team.

First goal from Chelsea although many said it is Reina's fault, I would say it was more of Drogba's brilliance of being there at the right time to force a mistake. It would have gone it if Reina wasnt there anyway. Second goal from Chelsea was a typical Alex set-piece, not the first time from him and definately wont be the last. Can't really remember Chelsea's 3rd from Frank Lampard, but being him, always at the right place at the right time, is expected. The 4th goal was a screamer courtesy of Drogba's assist and finish from Lampard. Seen this from time to time, his the post and went in. Great to see Drogba is no longer sulking and him playing together with Anelka.

Aggregate Chelsea 7 - 5 Liverpool, now that Ashley Cole is out for the next match, who is going to take over? Wayne Bridge is no longer at the Bridge. The defense looks shaky with too many defenders missing. One spanish team down, another one to shootdown, BRING IT ON BACA!

Had to sneak out again... was kinda tired doing weights during the evening but luckily I didnt miss watching this one. Score was Chelsea 3 : 1 Liverpool, and the match was at Anfield.

Gameplay wise, Liverpool played better. They have players all around the field, passing was great. Gerrard played extremely well and the first goal was well deserved. Cech did all he could but the ball still went in.

Liverpool had players spread wide, this gave them possession with their accurate passing, however it backfires when Chelsea is on the counter-attack. The gap is just too wide for them to run back. Gameplay was on Liverpool's side however on the quality of players, Chelsea still have the edge.

The first goal by Ivanovic was great, it was all him, Liverpool couldn't do anything and sometimes even Chelsea concede goals like that. But the second goal was a textbook mistake, I couldnt even make up whether Liv is defending by zone or player. A bunch of Liv was just waiting at the near post and noone was covering the front of the goal. I guess Liv deserve losing this match. The third goal was something that is going to happen sooner or later. Drogba wasted so many chances and luckily he scored one awesome goal at least.

Terry was given a yellow which I think shouldnt have been, but I guess it is a blessing in disguise. He will be missing the match at home, but that also means he wont be missing the later matches.
